Greetings from a Russayog enthusiast in Bodo, Norway!

Nita and Poonam... What you are describing is exactly what I also had the great fortune to experience when I did a 2 week stint of my teachers training in Santa Barbara. Teresa and Jasprit are very giving, and hard working individuals that really know how to infuse students with inspiration.
I too, would advise anyone who would like a deeper peek into the world of yoga, to make a trip to this lovely place and learn from two people that live the life that they teach others about. Love the guest bedroom especially well! Very cozy indeed!!!

Jane, this was so great!
I really appreciated the way you likened the various types of yoga to music and composition. This will give people who may be new to yoga a rather refreshing way of thinking about it all. The key to "success" with yoga is definately the take-it-slowly-day-by-day approach. Those of us who have been doing yoga for over 30 years gain greater insight to why this will always remain true as we have all seen the unfortunate results of going at asans with haste and lack of inner focus.
Thanks for this good letter... It really makes me miss our time at Russayog in both Ann Arbor as well as Santa Barbara... Not to mention your classses specifically!

Thanks for your comment Danielle! We miss you too! I hope you have found a new studio you enjoy attending, or that you remember a few Pranayama to perform whenever you get the urge :)

Thanks for your comment LeAnne! It was nice that the walls and lockers were painted yellow - a similar color to the Studio. Are you teaching in Santa Barbara at all? or onto a new adventure?

Jill, this was just such a joy to read, and I love how you just went with the flow of this unexpected situation that you found yourself in. I was thinking that the participants of the class that you taught out there in the hall were probably also impressed by the fact that you just went with it, as apposed to the alternatative response which could have set the course away from the magic that was born out of doing yoga in an off beat location. What I wouldn't have given to have been in that very class! I bet there will be a few new faces from that group who will pop in to the "real" Russayog Studio to see what the ropes are like to work with. I am just smiling from ear to ear after reading this and seeing the pictures that accompanied your story!!! Wow, do we ever miss our Ann Arbor practice!!! Love xoxoxo Danielle xoxoxo
